Privacy Policy
In short: Timber Valley has no accounts and keeps your game progress on your device. We, the developer, do not collect, store or sell your personal data. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some data to show and measure those ads, as described below.
This policy explains how the Timber Valley iPhone game (the "Game") and this website handle information. The Game is made by Augustin Villetard, an independent developer ("we", "us"). You can reach us at augustin.dev@tutamail.com.
1. Information kept on your device
Your progress (coins, rubies, grove levels, purchases you own and settings such as sound and music) is saved in a file on your iPhone. It is not sent to us or to any server we run, and we have no copy of it. Deleting the Game deletes this file.
2. Advertising by Google AdMob
The Game uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show ads, including optional video ads you choose to watch for rewards. Google is an independent provider and handles this data under its own policies. According to Google's disclosures, the SDK may collect:
- Device identifiers: the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, otherwise an identifier limited to this app or developer.
- Approximate location: estimated from your IP address. The Game never asks for, and never receives, your precise location.
- Advertising data: which ads were shown and how you interacted with them.
- Product interaction: for example app launches, taps and video views.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data.
Google uses this data to deliver, measure and improve ads, to prevent fraud and for analytics. When you allow tracking, the device identifier may be used to show you personalized ads based on your activity in other companies' apps and websites. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Your choices
- Tracking: the Game asks for permission before any tracking. You can say no, and you can change your answer at any time in iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- Consent in Europe: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choices before personalized ads. You can change them later with Privacy choices in the Game's Settings.
- Ad personalization: you can also manage how Google personalizes ads at myadcenter.google.com.
- No Ads: buying No Ads removes ad breaks, and rewards that normally need a video are granted instantly.
4. In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The Game checks your purchases on your device with Apple's StoreKit to deliver what you bought and to restore it.
5. Sound, music and other content
All game content is bundled in the app. The Game does not upload your photos, contacts, microphone, camera or files, and it has no chat or social features.
6. Children
Timber Valley is a general audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, contact us and we will help.
7. This website
This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. The home page loads one font from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the font is requested. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
8. Keeping and deleting data
We hold no personal data about players, so there is nothing for us to delete. To delete your game progress, delete the Game. For data held by Google, use the controls linked above or contact Google directly.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold player data, most requests concern Google, but write to us and we will point you in the right direction. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the Game's App Store release notes.
